Our local-history club has been part of the school since September. I have been a member for six months, and I have known my project partner since our first meeting. At the beginning, we only had a box of notes and several questions. Now we have a small checked guide and a timeline that shows how our ideas developed.
The timeline separates completed events from situations that continue. We visited the library in October and tested our first map in November. Those events happened at finished times. Our interest in the neighbourhood has continued, and the group has had the same main goal for the whole project: make information useful without pretending to know everything.
We also keep earlier drafts. They show why a change was needed, not just that a final page looks better. Next month, new members will use the timeline to understand our work. They will not have to guess which decisions are recent or which questions are still open.
