Our teacher asked us to describe our independent work in a project. One pupil worried that asking a question meant the work was not really his. We discussed that idea carefully. Doing something yourself does not mean knowing everything before you start. It means making an honest account of your actions and the help you received.
I wrote my captions myself, but someone helped me understand an unfamiliar word. My partner arranged the pictures by herself and then asked the group for feedback. We checked the final order together. Nobody needed to pretend that every idea appeared without discussion.
Our report included a short contribution note. It named the parts we created and the support that changed our work. It did not contain other people's private information or claim that we had used no help at all. The note made the project clearer. It also showed us a useful habit: recognise your own effort while giving appropriate credit to others.
